Awesome little cafe in greenpoint. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the coffee and food are delicious! Definitely check out this neighborhood gem!
Cute local cafe with a very comfortable
& chill vibe. I’ve walked past it probably 25+ times after recently moving to the neighborhood and decided to give it a try today. The person that greeted me and took my order was so friendly and happy to give recommendations. She steered me in the right direction with the falafel bowl. It was so tasty. Excited to try more!
So many great options! Definitely have to come back to try other items especially the za'atar croissant. The sandwiches can also be switched to bowls. We had the shiitake pesto sandwich, cauliflower shawarma, baked falafel salad and a side of fava beans. Favorite was the sandwich (crispy texture and large portion) and cauliflower (nice thick layer of tahini at the bottom). The falafel is baked and somehow tasted uncooked. The hummus in the salad was very creamy. Also tried the halva latte which didn't have strong tahini flavor. The backyard space is super lovely and quiet great for reading, working or catching up with friends. It's self service in which one orders up front. The guy made a couple mistakes of our orders but I still enjoyed the food and look forward to coming back.
What a surprising find and are we happy! Such interesting unique (to me) options and plenty of vegetarian food, creative! The cauliflower pita was cinnamony & good especially with some added dips. The tuna was quite good, even my 11y liked. 13y liked the sausage sandwich. Had to fend off family from the dips and soft seasoned pita ;) Will definitely be ordering here again!
Love this spot! Dog friendly - nice staff.
Keto options. Was able to get the Halloumi and Egg in a bowl with greens. We also order an egg sandwich - liked the bread it came on. Just overall vibe, patio space and dog friendly ambiance will make me a returning customer.
When I found myself starving with laptop in tow after a meeting in Greenpoint at 4pm on a Monday, I was disappointed that two other cafes on Freeman St had closed their kitchens already! I needed to find a place with a good sandwich and some WiFi asap. I was lucky to stumble across this spot and was saved by their awesome egg sandwich with a Lebanese flair to it. And the place was empty!! This is criminal, it's so good and better than any other option nearby in my humble opinion. I shall return!
Highly recommend!! It's so cute and food was great. Espresso some of the best in the hood.
Living in the neighborhood, I've had the chance to visit this spot once or twice. The food here is absolutely delicious, and it's the perfect place for a casual lunch, coffee, or brunch. But, here's the kicker - the lady at the front is just plain rude and unpleasant. It's disappointing to spend your money and get an attitude in return. Don't get me wrong, the place itself is pretty decent, and the food is top-notch. However, there are plenty of other options around where you can enjoy a fantastic meal and actually feel welcomed. It's a shame that the overall experience is soured by the unfriendly front-of-house staff.
